Question by Mike R: how to get the Norton 360 desktop gadget for Windows 7 working again?
When i installed Norton 360 on my laptop that runs on Windows the desktop gadget automatically was installed on the desktop and will always be there when i start my computer. I accidentally hit the close buttom on the gadget and it took it off and now it nevers comes up when i restart. How to set it up again? I tried pulling the Norton 360 shortcut icon to the desktop to see if it activates it but it does not. thanks for the help.

Hi Mike,

In the Start menu search field, type “gadgets” and click the first result. You should be able to select the Norton gadget there.

Question by DSu: How can I prevent my Windows 7 gadgets from changing their screen positions?
I have about seven gadgets lined up. At random times, they will re-arrange their screen positions such that some overlap, some are out of place, and others remain where they are. This is rather annoying because I have them lined up to specific screen positions. Has anyone heard of this bug? And if so, how do I fix it?

I can only assume you need to open the desktop gadgets program and see if there is an item to check that locks them in place. Since I don’t use those, this is only a suggestion.

Question by funnybunnyhunny: What’s a great gift for someone who is into gadgets and electronics?
The holidays are right around the corner and I’m looking for a Christmas gift to give to my boyfriend. He’s into a lot of gadgets and electronics and honestly, I’d love to give him something amazing but I also don’t want to give him something that he’s not going to like too much. He really knows his stuff so I may be better off with a non – gadget/electronic related gift. This is our first holiday together so I want to make it memorable.

Any ideas?

Question by Jacob: Gadget for windows for transferring files to External HDD ?
Is there a “gadget” for windows that you can take files, drag them into the window for the gadget and they will automatically be transferred to another folder or say an external hdd? I think it would be a very neat thing to make if it doesn’t exist!

There is – its called Windows Explorer
You can see what files you have and can click and drag folders or files to other folders or drives

Please be careful when downloading for any Windows operating system. You can try Microsoft or http://www.thefreecountry.com to get free stuff. Make sure you have antivirus software installed and running before downloading.
Widgets are components used in a variety of programming languages such as C++, C# and others. A Gadget is what Microsoft terms as a small program that will fit in the Vista sidebar on your desktop. Linux/Unix systems have been able to do this for years, they just use a different name for them.

You need to do some homework before asking a question like that. After doing the homework, you probably would not ask. There are lots of different kinds of radiation, and lots of ways to use it. For example you can get radiation burns by lying on a beach with no sunscreen, but you can regulate your exposure to get a color change in your skin that chicks find attractive. Radios work with radiation, so do cameras, flashlights, microwave ovens, glow-in-the-dark toys, even car keys.

You need to narrow your field of inquiry.
